I got you.

I imagine a child with a tear-stained face. Holding on so desperately to her father. Arms wrapped tight around His neck. Face buried in His shoulder with fear. So afraid to let go. Exerting all her energy she clings to her Father - afraid that if she doesn't hold on with all her strength she will fall.

It's in that moment that ever so tenderly Daddy whispers:

"I got you. Its ok. Don't worry, Daddy's got you."

Wrapped up in Daddy's strong arms she begins to loosen her grip and relax.

"I got you. You can trust me."

My SOUL clings to you; YOUR right hand upholds me. Psalm 63:8

It is no effort of the daughter - It is the father's strength and sustains her. That keeps her close to his heart.

That child is me. In the midst of darkness and a broken world - He is my only hope and my soul clings to the One who can save.

God is our Hope. He has overcome the world and He has poured out His love on us.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.  And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5
